School Tours
We are fully booked for the year!
Please check back in the fall for the 2026 to 2027 school year. Thank you for your interest in Rancho Camulos Museum.
Each year, we host more than 1,500 school children. Rancho Camulos Museum offers an ideal location to experience Californio lifestyle and culture. Students visit the rancho’s main adobe home, chapel, carriage house, and Tataviam Native American village, and learn about the many agricultural crops grown on the rancho. Most of the students’ two-hour tour is spent engaged in hands-on learning exercises.

Explore the 1853 main adobe, chapel, winery exterior, schoolhouse, Tataviam village site, and the beautiful rose garden while discovering the stories of the Del Valle and Rubel families. Also learn how Helen Hunt Jackson’s novel Ramona, inspired by her visit to Camulos, earned the rancho the title “Home of Ramona” and helped shape California’s cultural landscape.
